About Us

A clear mind helps individuals navigate daily challenges more easily.

After over a decade of practicing Western medicine, I realized it doesn’t always meet all of my patients’ needs, particularly in pain management. This led me to pursue acupuncture at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, where I developed a deep appreciation for Eastern medicine. I believe acupuncture not only enhances overall well-being but also plays a key role in effective pain management by relieving discomfort and promoting relaxation. I take pride in helping patients manage pain and achieve a healthy, balanced state, promoting long-term vitality and preventing illness or injury.

What to expect

01

Intake & Consultation (10 minutes): Establish the treatment plan and needle placement.

Brief discussion of the client’s symptoms, goals, and any relevant medical history.

Assessment of the body’s condition using traditional methods (e.g., pulse, tongue diagnosis) or specific questions related to the complaint.

02

Needle Insertion & Retention (20 minutes):

Needle Placement: Inserting needles at selected acupuncture points. This can take around 5-10 minutes, depending on the number of needles and their placement.

Needle Retention: The client will remain still with the needles in place for 15-20 minutes. During this time, the body will begin to respond to the acupuncture, promoting pain relief and healing.

Relaxation: Ensure the client is comfortable and relaxed. You may offer calming music or soft lighting to create a soothing environment.

03

After the treatment:

Initial Relaxation: Many people feel deeply relaxed or even slightly tired right after the session.

Pain Relief: You might notice a reduction in pain or discomfort, although it can vary from person to person.

Increased Energy: Some feel more energized or have a sense of improved well-being after a few hours.

Possible Soreness: It’s normal to feel some mild soreness or sensitivity at the needle sites for a day or two.

Gradual Improvement: With regular treatments, you may start to notice more lasting relief, improved function, and better overall health.

Emotional Shifts: Acupuncture can also release emotional tension, so some people experience a sense of emotional clarity or calm.

It’s important to remember that results can vary, and some people feel immediate relief, while others may need a few sessions to notice significant improvements.
